I am Eric Cowan, and I am asking you to vote for me in the election for DISD Board of Trustees, District 7. The Board of Trustees is charged with managing the education of over 157,000 children with a budget of $1.5 billion. With 10 years experience creating budgets and managing revenue forecasts in the luxury hotel industry, I can provide a unique set of skills as a member of the Board of Trustees.
My commitment is to represent all families who live in District 7 so that our children can grow into productive, responsible, contributing adults and make us proud. Our children deserve a great education. As a parent with two small children who soon will enter DISD, I have a vested interest in the district's success. I pledge to give my time and talents to ensure a great education is available to all children in the DISD. I ask you to support me with your vote on May 8, 2010.
